Diba Mirza, Instructor

Diba Mirza is a Associate Teaching Professor in the CS department at UC Santa Barbara. Prof. Mirza joined the CS department in 2017, after previously teaching at UC San Diego, where he earned his Ph.D. His current research is in the area of CS Education, and focuses on broadening participation in research through early research experiences for undergraduates.

Hi everyone, my name is Kaiwen Li. I am a first year MS student under BS/MS program in UCSB. I was working on Amazon Alexa team this summer and developed a smart notification delivery system to deliver notifications at an appropriate time. I enjoy riding bikes and I have a white kawasaki. I will ride my bike to school everyday unless it is raining. Don’t hesitate to ask me anything about homework, internship, or anything else.

Hi Everyone! I’m a second year master’s student in CS at UCSB. My pronouns are she/her. A bit about me - I completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering in 2019. Post undergrad, I was working as an Android Engineer at PhonePe - a Fintech company in India. Currently, my area of interest is in distributed systems and cloud computing, and I’m working with Professors Chandra Krintz & Rich Wolski in RACE Lab. Hello! My name is Tyler, and I’m a CS Master’s student in the combined B.S./M.S. program. I received my B.S. in Computer Engineering here at UC Santa Barbara. I’m a student researcher in the RACELab under Professors Chandra Krintz and Rich Wolski, where I’ve worked on platforms for smart agriculture, custom operating systems, and distributed runtimes. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and reading (mostly science fiction and fantasy novels, history, and economics). I look forward to meeting you all this quarter!
